Meet Felice
Hi! I'm Felice, the creator behind The Dabbling Speechie
After 14 years as a school-based SLP, I transitioned to creating speech therapy materials and training SLPs full time. Today, I help busy SLPs plan engaging, effective therapy for mixed groups, push-in lessons, collaborative services, and more. My goal is to make it easier for you to manage your workload, feel confident walking into your sessions, and have practical tools you can actually use with your students.
My Story
From Overwhelmed to Empowered
When I first started working in the schools, I was juggling a caseload of 75+ students, back-to-back IEP meetings, and piles of paperwork. I wanted to give my students engaging, meaningful therapy, but with limited time and energy, that sometimes felt nearly impossible.
Out of survival, and honestly because I was tired of long, boring sessions, I started creating speech therapy lessons that I could adapt across ages and goals.
I even ditched my prize box and made a professional goal of being the prize, lol. What I really mean is that I focused on building strong relationships with my students and planning activities that kept them engaged. Because when students are engaged, magical progress can happen with their speech and language goals.
When I began sharing my ideas and strategies online, I realized I wasn't the only SLP feeling stretched thin. The Dabbling Speechie was born out of my desire to help school-based SLPs save time, feel supported, and enjoy therapy again.
